Teacher of the Year

Since 1995, the National Sunday School Office has awarded the Billie Davis Award for Excellence in Christian Education to Sunday School teachers who faithfully contribute to a high stand of discipleship as they teach God's Word to God's people in Sunday School. Please help us honor the teachers in your church for their ministry and dedication.

The 2010 Wisconsin/No. Michigan Ministries Network Teacher of the Year Recipient

Carol Kuhlow

Carol Kuhlow has been our 3rd and 4th grade Sunday School teacher for the past ten years.

Carol loves her students, is in her classroom early to meet her students each week and gives them individual attention. She show interest in the home as well as the school life. Though she is soft spoken, Carol has a very orderly class.

She also goes above the call of duty by organizing a Sunday School children’s Christmas program each year. Carol sees this Christmas program to be an extension of our discipleship ministry as the children learn while they hear and act
out the Christmas story. It also reaches unchurched people when the children invite unsaved family members and friends who encounter the birth of Jesus and
the message of salvation. Carol provides her own props, costumes and everything
needed for the program.

Carol loves the Lord and is faithful in church attendance each week. She also attends Spirit-filled conferences and meetings whenever possible. She is an exceptional role model for her class and her peers.

Nominate Your Teacher For The Award

Complete all requested information on the Teacher of the Year Nomination Form (PDF). If you are a studend or parent, confer with your pastor and/or Christian Education leader as needed.
Mail the completed form to the National Sunday School Office by the date shown on the nomination form.
All teachers meeting a set level of excellence will receive a certificate of excellence.
Certificates will be mailed to pastors to be awarded to qualifying teachers.
Teachers who qualify for the cerfificate of excellence become eligible to be considered for District Teacher of the Year. (One teacher will be selected for the Wisconsin/No. Michigan Ministries Network)
Each District Teacher of the Year will become a candidate for the NATIONAL Teacher of the Year Award.
